Privacy policy

What we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

on this page

The short version

  • We collect what you submit through the deal flow form, plus basic server logs.
  • The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics or ad pixels.
  • We don't sell or share your personal information.
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion at any time by emailing privacy@bionicholdings.com.

01Who we are

This website is operated by Bionic Holdings, LLC ("Bionic Holdings," "we," "us," or "our"), a privately held operating company. For personal information collected through this website, we are the business or controller responsible for it.

This policy covers bionicholdings.com only. Businesses and brands that we own or operate run their own websites and apps under their own privacy policies. If you interacted with one of those, its policy applies to that interaction, not this one.

02Information we collect

Information you submit

When you use the deal flow form, we collect what you enter:

  • Your name and email address
  • A company or asset URL, if you provide one
  • The type of deal or partnership, your monthly revenue or media run rate range, and your primary bottleneck
  • Anything you write in the message field

Please don't include sensitive personal information, health information, or confidential business information in the form. Detailed materials are exchanged only after a mutual non-disclosure agreement is in place.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records basic request data: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and running.
  • Campaign parameters. If you arrive through a link that contains marketing parameters (such as utm_source or ad click identifiers like gclid, fbclid, or ttclid), the site keeps them in your browser's session storage until you close the tab. They are sent to us only if you submit the form, so we know how you found us.
  • Submission reference. Each form submission receives a random reference ID so we can match and deduplicate records.

Cookies and tracking technologies

As of the effective date, this website does not set cookies and does not load third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts. If that changes, we will update this policy before those tools go live and, where required by law, ask for your consent.

03How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Review and evaluate submissions, and respond to you
  • Assess potential acquisitions, partnerships, licensing arrangements, and investments
  • Understand which channels bring relevant opportunities to us
  • Protect the website against abuse, fraud, and security threats
  • Maintain records and comply with legal obligations
  • Enforce our Terms of Use and defend legal claims

We do not use information submitted through this website to send marketing newsletters, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

05How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as follows:

  • Service providers that host this website, deliver email, or process form submissions for us, under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing services to us
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors, who are bound by confidentiality obligations
  • Affiliates and co-investors involved in evaluating a specific opportunity you submitted, where relevant to that opportunity
  • Corporate transactions, if we are involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections
  • Legal requirements, when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or government request, or is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bionic Holdings or others

06Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

  • Deal flow submissions are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a business relationship develops, in which case they are kept for the life of that relationship and any required retention period afterward.
  • Server logs are rotated automatically and generally deleted within 30 days, unless we need them longer to investigate a security incident.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

07Security

This website is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to submitted information is limited to people who need it to evaluate opportunities. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. This is one reason we ask you not to submit confidential or sensitive information through the website.

08Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Delete your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Portability: receive your information in a usable electronic format
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, although we do not sell or share it
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To make a request, email privacy@bionicholdings.com. We will confirm receipt and respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line "Privacy appeal." If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Because we don't sell or share personal information or use tracking technologies on this website, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals don't change how the site behaves. If we add such technologies, we will honor Global Privacy Control as a valid opt-out where required by law.

09International transfers

We are based in the United States, and this website is hosted in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

10Children

This website is intended for business professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website or practices change. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will provide more prominent notice where required by law.
